From a young age, I knew I would go into a field to help and support others. It took me years to uncover that I would do this professionally as a coach. I started out early in my career working in a variety of industries and was quickly seen as “a high potential” employee. Because of this, I was given the opportunity to be fast-tracked and placed in professional development programs and this was where I was first exposed to coaching. Life changing!

I have spent over 15 years in corporate managerial roles, working with clients, vendors, and teams and collaborating with executives on strategy design and implementation. After I began working for a corporate coaching consultancy, I quickly discovered that coaching was my calling. I’ve been coaching professionally for over five years and have a wealth of experience, accreditations, and certifications. Seven years ago, I visualized eXponential coaching, and now it’s come to fruition.

Like most coaches, I’m not so interested in talking about myself. I’m most interested in listening to you to help you reach your goals. However, I do realize there are a few things you might want to know before deciding to work with me.

Sarah Gourley
Owner / Coach

  • I have broad experience coaching individuals at all levels of an organization and across many industries: professional services, entrepreneurial/ new business start-ups, pharmaceutical, banking, wealth management, investment firms, non-profits, healthcare, global media, entertainment and manufacturing. I believe in the coaching process and know that I can assist you in reaching your goals regardless of my specific industry experience.

  • I coach around a wide range of topics. Work-life integration, parenting, transitions, stress and mindset management, burnout, restoration, energy management, change management, emotional intelligence, self-care and personal well-being, leadership development, promotion, and career progression are some of the most typical.

I believe in coaching the whole person, and because of that, things you least expect might be hindering your ability to progress in various areas. Nothing is truly off the table. If something is better suited for therapy or outside of my comfort zone, I will certainly let you know.

  • I am an authentic, compassionate, and caring individual. My clients find it easy to connect with me, and a major strength is my ability to listen to help you uncover blind spots and provoke your awareness. As with all coaching, you are the driver. You get to direct what you want to get out of the call, how comfortable you are with being challenged, and what actions you can realistically take to move toward your goals. I will help you organize your thoughts and create your plan, and you will leave each call with clarity, takeaways, and actions that you agree to move forward to achieve your goals.
